COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
KETTLES, STEAM JACKETED (STAINLESS STEEL, STEAM HEATED)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to RR-K-195 for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description covers stainless steel, steam-jacketed, steam heated kettles for use in permanent kitchens and galleys.
2. CLASSIFICATION
2.1 Classification. The steam jacketed kettles shall be of the following types, styles, capacities, and classes, as specified (see 7.1):
Type I - Deep, 2/3 jacketed
Style A – Leg mounted, stationary
Capacities – 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, and 100 gallons
