Note: The inner well shall be sized to accommodate the number of 12- by 20- by 4-inch deep pans specified by the size cold food counter ordered.
2.2 Refrigeration unit design and construction. The refrigeration unit shall be an integral part of the complete cold food counter. The refrigeration unit shall be completely self-contained, precharged, and wired. The refrigeration unit shall be equipped with an on=off switch and an indicator light which shall remain lighted as long as the switch is in the “on” position and powered. The refrigeration unit shall operate on a 120 volt, 60 Hz, 1-phase electrical system, and shall be provided with an 6-foot, three wire cold. The refrigeration unit shall be provided with a hermetically sealed compressor having the following minimum horsepower and the following maximum wattage for each size:

2.3 Identification marking (Government unique requirement, see 5.4). Each cold food counter shall have the manufacturer’s name, contract number, and national stock number embossed or engraved on the outer housing of the cold food counter. Use of “stick-on” or removable labels is prohibited.
2.4 Codes and standards. Cold food counters shall comply with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Standard Nos. 207 and 471 and National Sanitation Foundation Standard No.2.
3. QUALITY ASSURANCE
3.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify, and maintain substantiating evidence, that the product offered meets the salient characteristics and requirements of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specification, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
3.2 End item examination. Sampling inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The inspection level shall be II and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 4.0. The sample unit shall be one complete cold food counter.
