3.2.2 Product throw test. Adjust the dispenser for the minimum specified product throw (1.5 + 0.15 grams per 6 ounces of water); then determine the average weight of 10 minimum product throws. Repeat this average weight determination for the maximum specified draw (2.0 + 0.20 grams per 6 ounces of water). The average product throw for each adjustment shall be within the accuracy limits specified. Inability of the dispenser to function in accordance with stated requirements shall constitute failure of the test.
4. PACKAGING
4.1 Packaging and packing. Packaging and packing shall be commercial or export as specified (see 5.2)
4.2 Commercial packaging and packing. Each dispenser shall be cleaned, preserved, packaged and packed in accordance with ASTM D 3951.
4.3 Export packaging and packing.
4.3.1 Export packaging. Each dispenser shall be cleaned, preserved, and cushioned to protect against corrosion, deterioration, and physical damage during shipment and storage.
4.3.2 Export packing. Each dispenser shall be packed in a snug-fitting fiberboard box conforming to PPP-B-636, type CF or SF, class weather-resistant, style optional. Each box shall be closed, waterproofed and reinforced in accordance with PPP-B-636.
4.4 Palletization. When specified (see 5.2), shipping containers shall be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147.
4.5 Marking (commercial and export). Marking of unit packs, shipping containers, and unit loads shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129 or ASTM D 3951, as applicable.
5. NOTES
5.1 Intended use. The dispenser covered by this commercial item description is intended for use in dispensing hot coffee, brewed by mixing freeze-dried coffee and hot water.
