Each plate shall be placed so as to be readily visible to the operator during normal operation and use, and so as to not adversely affect the life or utility of the dispenser.
2.5 Recovered materials. Recycled, virgin and reclaimed materials shall be used to the maximum extent practicable in accordance with Public Law 94-580.
3. QUALITY ASSURANCE.
3.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify, and maintain substantiating evidence, that the product offered meets the salient characteristics and requirements of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
3.2 Tests. Prior to performing tests specified herein, the dispensers to be tested shall be operated for a period of time recommended by the manufacturer for run-in and adjustment of the units.
3.2.1 Temperature test. Connect the dispenser to a 50 + 5oF water supply in a 70 + 5oF ambient temperature. Draw 100 6-ounce cups for 1 hour recording the temperature at intervals to indicate any change from the stabilized temperature of 185 + 5oF. Inability of the dispenser to function in accordance with stated temperature requirements shall constitute failure of the test.
