The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
1. Classification
1.1 Classification. This commercial item description covers cold food counters in the following types and sizes (see 5.2):
Type I – Frost top, drop-in
Size 1 – 58 inches long
Size 2 – 73 inches long
Size 3 – 86 inches long
Type II – Food storage pan, drop-in
Size 4 – Four food storage pan capacity
Size 5 – Five food storage pan capacity
Size 6 – Six food storage [an capacity
1.2 Part or identification number (pin). The pin shall consist of the commercial item description number, type number and size number as follows:

A-A-52060 = CID number
I = Type
A = Size
